Desuperheater

Thumbnail 1 Desuperheater

Desuperheater with an adjustable cross-section of the nozzle provides fine water mist injection into the steam line over a wide range of flow rates. The system consists of multiple nozzles with different flow capacities, which makes it possible to adjust the temperature with high accuracy under any operating conditions. Desuperheater can be used with a cooling water inlet pressure of up to 18.0 MPa, which, combined with a high degree of tightness, eliminates the need for additional pressure reducing valves often required in similar applications.

Four different positions of water flange
Four different positions of water flange
Desuperheater is available with the option of installing the water flange in four different positions, ensuring convenient installation and connection to the pipeline system regardless of orientation.
Balanced and unbalanced plug
Balanced and unbalanced plug
For easier operation and minimized wear in high pressure drop applications, the valve can feature a balanced plug. Alternatively, for simpler systems with low pressure drops, an unbalanced plug can be used.
Double stage pressure reduction for high pressure drops
Double stage pressure reduction for high pressure drops
The valve is equipped with a double stage pressure reduction system that allows for safe reduction of steam and water pressure drops, preventing cavitation and severe water hammer in systems with high pressure drops.
